This paper defines the priorities of Chile with respect to the renewed cooperation agreement, between Chile and the EU agreed upon on 26 July 2007. Amongst other issues, it emphasises the cooeration of academia and industry: “Another key priority is the promotion of innovation and competitiveness in Chile. Here, the agreement points to the need to encourage greater science and technology (S&T) links between the country’s universities and industry and to develop activities to promote innovation and technology transfer”.
This reports gives an overview on the findings of the case studies carried out in three regions, India, Chile and USA among SMEs that are engaged in e-business. In the annex, each of the three region’s case studies are fully described and conclusions drawn as to the importance of legal issues in e-business.
