Encryption is an important issue in Israel because of security concerns and the need to keep communications private, especially bearing in mind Israel’s many skirmishes
with regional alien forces. Encryption is the taking of data and making it unintelligible by converting it into a form called a ciphertex to keep unauthorized persons from seeing it. Conversely, decryption is the process of putting the encrypted data back into its original form, so it can be understood. Use of Encryption, or as the law phrases it, Encryption Items in Israel is controlled under the Law Governing the Control of Commodities and Services - 1957 (5717) and the Order Regarding the Engagement in Encryption Items - 1974 (5734).
Since 2007, the FBI has very quietly put together a cadre of professionals with U.S. intelligence and other agencies to help battle crime on the Internet to help identify and respond to cyber threats against the United States. The name of the group is the National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force (NCIJTF), and the FBI has a number of persons training together at an unnamed location near Washington. The leader of the new group is Shawn Henry, the FBI’s deputy assistant director of the cyber division. Henry has stated the group is made up of intelligence, law-enforcement and other agencies from the U.S. government.
The New Jersey Supreme Court has given a huge victory to Internet privacy advocates by ruling that the Government needs a valid subpoena before it can get private user information from an Internet Service Provider (”ISP?). The case was, State of New Jersey v. Shirley Reid (A-105-06), and was argued October 22, 2007 and decided April 21, 2008. The case came up on appeal and was argued as an amicus brief with the help of the American Civil Liberties Union, Electronic Frontier Foundation and the Electronic Privacy Information Center, among other groups that filed friend-of-the-court briefs in the controversy. The victors claim it is the first ruling in the U.S. to recognize a reasonable expectation of privacy for Internet users.
Margarehta Mazura vsem udeležencem pokazala prednosti in koristi takšnega sodelovanja ter uporabe brezplačnih pravnih informacij na domačem (EU) in na svetovnem trgu e-poslovanja. Providing timely, reassuring and comprehensive customer service has been an axiom of good business for as long as people have been doing business.
The inability of a business to provide competent, secure customer service is damaging to more than just revenues. Besides the direct monetary losses that come with customer lawsuits, businesses typically end up having to belatedly invest in employee training, security and information systems upgrades, all the while trying to stem what often turns out to be a customer exodus.
The North American Council for Online Learning (NACOL) released National Standards for Quality Online Teaching, a publication designed to provide states, districts, online programs, and other organizations with a set of quality guidelines for online teaching in February 2008.
As a result of the research review, NACOL fully endorses the work of the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) Standards for Quality Online Teaching and Online Teaching Evaluation for State Virtual Schools as a comprehensive set of criteria. The standards as identified by SREB, already in use by sixteen SREB states, proved to be the most comprehensive and included guidelines set forth in the other criteria from the literature review. A full cross-reference of standards was conducted.

An army of over 300 fired up equity investors who are hungry for opportunities have hailed Africa as an ”old virgin” ready to be taken and have found Botswana a vital part of that virgin. This became clear at the two day annual Africa Venture Capital Association held in Gaborone from Monday. The venture capitalists were however at ease admitting that they tend to have ignored the opportunities that Africa presents.Former Head of Strategy and Development at Africa Banking Corporation (ABC) Peter Hinton who now heads his own company hailed Africa”s prospects for investor opportunities.
California has taken a progressive stance in preventing and prosecuting Internet investment fraud. California state authorities have worked with other states through the aegis of the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) since 1994. Notwithstanding, because much securities fraud is interstate in nature, California authorities must often defer to federal law enforcement authorities regarding the prosecution of securities offenses.
A Bill recently introduced by two lawmakers, one a Silicon Valley Democrat in the U.S. Congress, seeks to make America one giant free wireless hotspot within a decade. The proposed law was written by Rep. Anna Eshoo, D-Calif., and Rep. Chris Cannon, R-Utah, two U.S. House members. The legislation would be paid for by auctioning the unused radio spectrum. In exchange for accepting the winner’s bid, the company must offer a free, wireless broadband network reaching 95% of the American population within ten years. The name of the Bill is the Wireless Internet Nationwide for Families Act.
